Man shot in armed robbery in Ladyville

By BBN Staff: Authorities are investigating an armed robbery that occurred this evening at Estelle’s Airport hotel in Ladyville.

According to reports, around 5 p.m. today, Dodlie Estelle and his wife were at home when a man arrived and asked for a room.

Shortly after, two other men entered the home and one was armed with a gun.

The men demanded money and took $500. The culprits were asking for a safe and when Mr. Estelle told them that he had no money, the men shot him to the back.

They escaped in a blue vehicle.

Dodlie Estelle was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for medical treatment.

Authorities later detained a blue vehicle and its occupants.

An investigation is on-going.
