Australian business site says Belize is the best place to visit after COVID-19

By BBN Staff: The Australia based business publication The Market Herald has put Belize at the top of its list of countries travelers should visit once the COVID-19 pandemic has passed.

An article published this week entitled “The best destinations after COVID-19” lists 5 places that travelers should visit, which was based largely on how well the countries handled the pandemic.

“Magnificent Belize is currently free of Covid-19, one of only 12 countries in the world that is, thanks to a pioneering in-house tracking, tracing, and reporting platform and swift government response to the outbreak,” the Market Herald said.

Also on the list were Alentejo, Portugal, Preveza, Greece, Azores Islands, and Cyprus.

Belize started out the year with numerous positive international mentions from travel sites and luxury magazines and remains one of the only countries still getting positive mentions despite the pandemic.

This week, Belize Celebrated its 50th day of being COVID-19 free. The National COVID-19 Oversight Committee approved that several of the State of Emergency measures be relaxed as of this week to account for the progress of the national response.
