Chargé d’Affaires returns to Belize

By BBN Staff: The United States Embassy in Belize informed that Chargé d’Affaires Keith Gilges returned to Belize today, June 5, 2020.

Gilges resumed the role of Chargé d’Affaires for the U.S. Embassy Belmopan.

This role had previously been covered by Management Officer, Robert Peck, in his absence.

Chargé Gilges thanked the Government of Belize and United Airlines for enabling his return.

He also expressed appreciation to the many people in Belize who had wished him a speedy return, stating, “I am humbled and grateful for the unwavering support of my Belizean friends, colleagues, and neighbors. I am excited to be back in Belize to continue my mission of strengthening the partnership between the United States and Belize. Working together, we will confront the challenges that our two nations face while building a brighter future for both of our countries.”
