By BBN Staff: The land movement meeting being hosted by land rights activist Nigel Petillo, which was scheduled for 9:00 a.m. in Cotton Tree Village has been rescheduled due to increased police presence in the area.

The new time and venue will be 10:00 a.m. in the Harmonyville community, located at Mile 41 on the George Price Highway.

Petillo went live on Facebook this morning to say that he is being unjustly targeted by police, who are trying to stop his movement which is geared towards lifting grassroots Belizeans out of poverty through land acquisition.

This is a developing story.
