By Aaron Humes: Police say 31-year-old Sylvio Flores, Jr., was lured to his death Saturday night by a whistle from the bushes.
Flores Jr. was in front of a residence on Pampana Street around 8:50 p.m., when while in the yard, someone whistled from the bushes next to the air strip located across the street, directly in front of where Flores was.
Police say Flores walked to the area where the whistling was coming from and when he got to the area a single gunshot was heard. Flores was then seen running from the location and collapsed in an open lot where he was found by Police with a wound to the upper body. He was pronounced dead minutes later.
As part of their investigations, police have detained a female minor and the owner of the house where Flores was.
