By BBN Staff: This morning, the Ministry of Education issued an update on the State of Education in Belize amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.
Minister of Education, Patrick Faber informed that all teachers of the pre, primary and secondary schools are asked to return to classes on August 3rd to 7th, 2020. Their return will be to prepare for the start of the new school year and to prepare for diagnostic assessments and intervention plans.
Minister Faber noted that August 10th is the tentative date for the opening of pre, primary and secondary schools. According to Faber, this will be done to implement learning recovery programs.
On August 24th, ITVET instructors will be required to return and begin their new cycle.
Faber informed the nation that the dates may change based on advice from The national health authority.
