Dr. Marvin Manzanero: Testing will continue with people arriving to Belize and prior to leaving quarantine facility

By BBN Staff: Today, on Ask the Experts, Dr. Marvin Manzanero, Director of Health Services informed that the Ministry of Health has decided that the Ministry will no longer be doing random testing in the asymptomatic population.

Manzanero said that the Ministry will test anyone arriving into Belize and prior to them leaving the quarantine facilities as the repatriation process continues.

Manzanero also shared that the ministry will trace and find out where Belizeans were before arriving home since cross-contamination can occur when changing cruise ships.

The Ministry of Health will now test anyone with flu like symptoms.
