Unemployment Relief Program: Reasons for rejections valid

By BBN Staff: According to co-economic czar Christopher Coye, the reasons for some applications not being accepted for the Unemployment Relief Program are valid as explained by the Government: some did not provide enough information as to their employment status, while others did not provide banking information.

Coye told us that about half those who had banking issues accepted top-up debit cards as payment while others have fixed their information.

It was also important, Coye said, to avoid double-dipping with other Government-run programs such as BOOST and Food Pantry.

Leader John Briceno also made a call for the Program to re-open as unemployment threatens to rise.
