Increase in isolated showers and thunderstorm activity expected

By BBN Staff: The latest weather report prepared by the National Meteorological Service of Belize says that a developing northeasterly airflow will support a slight increase in moisture over the next couple of days.

The 24-hour forecast calls for sunny skies with a few cloudy spells today and partly cloudy skies tonight. Showers or thunderstorms will be isolated with a few more over northern areas today and over the south tonight.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 87 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 93 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 81 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 74 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 70 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be blowing East-Northeast at 5-15 knots, and the sea state will be choppy.

Low tide occurred at 7:52 a.m. and high tide will come in at 1:44 p.m.

The sun will set at 6:27 p.m. and the moon will rise today at 11:39 p.m.
