By BBN Staff: Leaked Ministry of Health memo: No more meals for hospital staff among other cost saving measures
A leaked memo, purportedly from the Ministry of Health, details a lists and number of cost-saving measures that the Ministry is implementing to offset COVID-19 losses.
The memo is directed to all Heads of Department from the Hospital administration.
The memo issued on June 5, 2020 stated that the kitchen will no longer be providing meals to the staff (effective Monday, June 8, 2020).
According to the memo, the Ministry is also discontinuing from picking up and dropping off staff from urban areas.
It informed that no runs will be made for picking up staff for emergency transfers and no unauthorized runs will be permitted.
The memo also stated that toiletries will now be limited to public and staff bathrooms (no department will be able to get rolls of toilet paper or garbage bags).
The memo also informed that coffee, creamer and sugar are no longer on the supplies list.
The staff will also not be allowed to do over 20 hours of overtime.
