Mobile home goes up in flames in Belize City

By BBN Staff: A mobile home in Belize City was destroyed in a fire last night.

Reports are that, just after 11 p.m., authorities were called to the scene on Kut Avenue where they found the mobile home engulfed in flames.

Authorities say that a mental patient, Karem Anderson, 21, spends most of his time at the mobile home, but noted that five minutes before the fire Anderson was being searched by police in the vicinity of Neal Penn Road.

Authorities say that there was no one inside after they had doused the fire, but that the Belize National Fire Service personnel would return to the scene this morning to conduct an investigation. A report on the investigation is expected to be ready sometime this week.
