Police detain man and minor for Sunday night robbery

By BBN Staff: Police have detained a man, 24, and a minor, 17, for a robbery that took place in Belize City on Sunday night.

The victim, Tina Gillette, 20, said that she was on her way home from work when three young men between the ages of 15-16 approached her in the vicinity of the A+ and Happy Hour Clubs. One of them pulled out a gun at her and robbed her of her cellphone.

Swift police action led to the detention of two suspects; however, no one has been formally charged for the incident.
