By BBN Staff: Nominations are still open for Fisher of the Year 2020.

If you know of an outstanding individual, who continuously has gone above and beyond the call of duty, as a fisher man or woman, this is your chance to tell them THANK YOU!

Submit your completed nomination form explaining why the nominee should be recognized as the Outstanding Fisher of the Year 2020.

Submissions MUST include:

1. Your name and contact information
2. The fisher’s name and your relationship to him/he
3. Number of years nominee has been fishing
4. Whether he/she belongs to a cooperative and/or association; and the name of the Cooperative or Association AND
5. A copy of the nominee’s fisher-folk license.
6. Detailed description, (in no less than 300 words), on why your nominee should be chosen as fisher of the year.

Nomination forms are available, by request, from the Belize Fisheries Department on Princess Margaret Drive, by emailing [email protected]; or Wildlife Conservation Society, by emailing [email protected].

The deadline for submission is June 19, 2020.
