By BBN Staff: Authorities are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at Small Entrepreneur Business Investment (SEBI) in Santa Elena yesterday.
A loan officer of SEBI, situated on George Price Highway, Santa Elena Town reported to police that she was at work along with her co-worker when a man arrived and approached the entrance door of the establishment.
The loan officer says that she then pushed the button for the door to open and her co-worker went towards the door to meet the person.
He inquired about getting a loan and the co-worker was explaining to him that no more loans were being given until the following month.
The man then suddenly reached for his waist, pulled out a firearm, and forced the door open.
The culprit then ordered both employees to lay on the ground and bound their hands and feet.
The culprit then proceeded to search the establishment and later left.
The employees managed to untie themselves. When they checked, they noticed that $3,081.00 was stolen from a cash pan.
The culprit also took a black Samsung Galaxy S9 phone and a Samsung Galaxy J2 Prime along with the establishment’s DVR.
Authorities have reviewed the surveillance cameras and investigations are ongoing.
