Tropical wave to bring rains today

The National Meteorological Service of Belize says that a tropical wave over the area will support moist and unstable conditions.

The 24-hour forecast says that skies will be mostly cloudy with some showers, thunderstorms and periods of light rain affecting most places today. Then activity will decrease slightly occurring along the coast but mainly south tonight.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 85 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 86 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 80 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 77 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 72 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 68 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be blowing East-Northeast at 05-15 knots, and the sea state will be choppy.

High tide came in at 6:31 a.m. and low tide will occur at 1:37 p.m.

The sun will set at 6:28 p.m. and the moon will rise tomorrow at 2:35 a.m.
