Major highways affected by heavy rains

By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Works has issued a notice to the general public that sections of the George Price Highway and the Hummingbird Highway has been severely affected due to the heavy rains in for the past 12 hours.

The ministry said that these sections of the highways are currently not accessible to the public but that teams are out working to restore access to these areas in a matter of three to four hours.

The ministry added that it will be issuing periodic updates on the progress of the roads and advised the public to keep up to date with the latest information and adhere to all traffic and safety measures that are in place at the affected sites.
