By BBN Staff: The National Institute for Culture and History (NICH) has responded to accusations made by four recently terminated staff members, saying that their termination did not come maliciously.
In a statement to BBN, NICH said that employee matters cannot be discussed openly due to a confidentiality agreement, but shared an extract from the termination letter that each staff member received.
“NICH thanks you for your service and wishes you well in your future endeavors. Please note that NICH will look favorably at hiring former members of staff if circumstances allow,” the letter said.
NICH added that the COVID-19 pandemic had rendered the duties of the majority of the aggrieved employees diminished and their programs and events were either canceled, postponed or suspended indefinitely.
