BPP says allegations of funding from Lord Ashcroft are false

By BBN Staff: The Belize Progressive Party (BPP) issued a statement today saying that it has noted that Nancy Marin, leader of the Belize People’s Front has made defamatory remarks which suggest that the BPP has taken funding from British billionaire Michael Ashcroft.

“The secretariat of the BPP, via this medium, wishes to make it categorically clear to the nation that these allegations are completely false,” the BPP said.

The party says that it refuses to participate in furthering the societal and political divides that exist in Belize.

The BPP says that it maintains its open-door policy to collaborate with any individual or organization willing to assist in the battle to save Belize.
