Windy conditions persist

The National Meteorological Service of Belize’s latest weather report, says that windy and hazy conditions continue today, with an increase in moisture expected tonight.

The 24-hour forecast says that skies will be hazy with some cloudy spells. A few showers and isolated thunderstorms will occur mostly over central and inland areas this morning, decreasing later today. Then little or no rainfall is expected tonight.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 93 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 83 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 83 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 77 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 72 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be gusty, blowing East-Southeast at 05-15 knots, and the sea state will be moderate-rough.

“A small craft caution remains in effect for gusty winds and locally rough seas. Hazy conditions may reduce visibility,” the Met Service said.

High tide will come in at 11:38 a.m. and low tide will occur at 7:07 p.m.

The sun will set at 6:30 p.m. and the moon will rise today at 8:27 a.m.
