Flood levels continue to recede

By BBN Staff: The National Hydrological Service informs that the flood water levels continue to recede slowly.

Flood levels on the Blue Creek sub-catchment of the Rio Hondo at Blue Creek continues to recede slowly.

Flood levels at Santa Cruz, San Antonio, San Roman, and Douglas are falling.

The New River at Tower Hill is above the banks and falling and at bankfull stage and steady at Caledonia.

On the Macal River, reservoir levels remains above the spillways at Chalillo and Mollejon and at the Vaca facility reservoir level is below the spillway.

At San Ignacio, levels are below the low-level bridge.

The Mopan River at Benque Viejo Town is above normal and receding slowly.

On the Belize River, levels at Banana Bank and Double Run are above normal and falling.

The Crooked Tree Lagoon remains below the causeway but continues to rise steadily.

Flood levels on the Sibun River near Freetown Sibun are now receding.
