Belize monitors 8 active cases of COVID-19

By BBN Staff: Belize is currently monitoring 8 active cases of COVID-19.

The Ministry of Health informed that as of June 30, 2020, Belize had registered 28 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

The Ministry continues its surveillance process and has conducted 2,281 tests. Of those tests, 2,243 returned negative.

Yesterday, officials identified 4 new cases of COVID-19, the patients entered the country last week, 2 through the Northern Border entry point and 2 on the flight on Friday, all as part of the repatriation process.

All 4 persons are asymptomatic and went into immediate mandatory hotel quarantine upon arrival.
