Full Senate returns to debate budget amendments and loan motions

By Aaron Humes: The full 13-member complement of the Senate is scheduled to meet this morning to debate budgetary allocations for 2012-13 and 2020-21.

The former, consisting of $100 million, was not approved until it was brought up in court by the Opposition during their court case in January.

The latter is necessary in the light of the economic ravages caused by COVID-19.

The motions for loans from the Inter-american Development Bank, Caribbean Development Bank and International Fund for Agricultural Development totaling $60 million Belize will also be debated.
