Moist weather ahead

The latest weather report from the National Meteorological Service of Belize says that a general increase in moisture is expected today.

The 24-hour forecast calls for sunny skies with a few cloudy spells today with showers and thunderstorms being generally isolated. Tonight, skies will be cloudy at times with a few showers and thunderstorms mainly over the south and coast.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 93 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 80 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 72 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 68 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be blowing East at 05-15 knots, and the sea state will be light chop-choppy.

High tide came in at 6:18 a.m. and low tide will occur at 1:41 p.m.

The sun will set at 6:31 p.m. and the moon will rise today at 3:17 p.m.
