Security guard of UNO PG shot

By BBN Staff: Authorities are investigating an attempted armed robbery that occurred last night in Punta Gorda.

According to reports, last night around 7:47, security guard, Anselmo Ack and the Manager of the UNO gas station in Punta Gorda made their way to conduct a night deposit when 2 men ambushed them.

One of the culprit/s blocked the traffic by parking his cycle in the middle of the street and another man with a gun came out of the bushes, approached them and demanded money.

The manager, who was driving the vehicle drove off and the men fired several shots at them.

Ack sustained a shot to his right arm.

Both thieves were wearing hoodies.

An investigation is ongoing.
