Moist and unstable conditions expected

By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service of Belize’s latest weather report says that relatively moist and unstable conditions are expected today.

The 24-hour forecast calls for cloudy skies at times with a few showers and thunderstorms over most places, but especially south today with a slight decrease this afternoon. A few thunderstorms, showers or periods of light rain will develop mainly over the south and along the coast tonight.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 87 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 92 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 82 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 72 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 68 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be blowing East at 05-15 knots, and the sea state will be slight-light chop.

High tide came in at 7:09 a.m. and low tide will occur at 2:38 p.m.

The sun will set at 6:31 p.m. and the moon will rise today at 4:19 p.m.
