PUP standard bearer assists over 300 students with school assistance program

By BBN Staff: Belizean businessman and PUP standard bearer for Belize Rural South, Andre Perez has initiated a school assistance program.

The program is to assist families and students during this pandemic.

The school assistance program will assist over 300 primary school students of San Pedro Town and Caye Caulker for the upcoming school year.

The total cost of the program is $18,000.

The program’s financial aid committee selected the top 10 students who are granted full scholarship.

On June 30, 2020, an award ceremony was held for the high achievers to celebrate their achievements.

Perez believes that educating the youth is imperative for the future of the community. He wishes all students success in their upcoming school year and encourages them to strive for excellence.

The distribution of the School Assistance for Caye Caulker will be done next week.
