Reports of quarantine party spark more drastic testing, says Dr. Manzanero

By BBN Staff: On Ask the Experts today, Dr. Marvin Manzanero explained more about the repatriation process, testing, and quarantine of Belizeans arriving home.

Manzanero said that health officials are discussing adding another testing day since there may be more Belizeans coming in.

There are two flights arriving today with Belizeans coming from El Salvador and the US.

Manzanero said that depending on the number of people who arrive and are swabbed, there may be a need to conduct another testing on Monday.

In addition, Manzanero said that the quarantine measures will be more drastic since they have received reports of people wanting to have a party in the hotel while in quarantine.

He urged everyone to cooperate and abide by the regulations.

As a reminder, he said that the quarantine measures are meant to identify any potential suspected case.
