The National Meteorological Service of Belize says that mainly fair and warm weather will prevail today except for a brief increase in showery activity tonight and tomorrow morning, ahead of a tropical wave.
The 24-hour forecast calls for mostly sunny today with isolated showers or isolated thunderstorms. Partly cloudy to cloudy tonight along with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms mostly over southern and coastal areas.
Today’s temperature highs will range from 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 96 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 84 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 82 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 75 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 70 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.
Winds will be blowing East-Northeast at 00-10 knots, and the sea state will be slight.
“Residents, especially those inland, are advised to stay hydrated and to avoid direct sunlight as much as possible. A small craft caution likely for tonight… Showers and thunderstorms may be accompanied by gusty winds and locally rough seas,” the Met Service said.
Low tide began at 6:32 a.m. and high tide will come in at 12:29 a.m.
The sun will set at 6:31 p.m. and the moon will rise today at 10:13 p.m.
