By BBN Staff: The wife of the 50-year-old COVID-19 patient from Santa Elena, Cayo is pleading to the public for food assistance. The wife told BBN that she found out yesterday that her husband’s test results returned positive and didn’t have time to shop and prepare with groceries.

Therefore, she is asking those that know her and her family to assist with basic food items for her and her husband as she explained their situation.

She told BBN that she has received many calls but not of people offering help. The wife is asking everyone to personally examine the situation and refrain from calling to insult her and her family.

The COVID-19 pandemic is affecting millions of people around the world and she says that they may not die of COVID-19 but of hunger since she is unable to exit their home to get food as they were told to stay at home.

The procedure for those wishing to help with food will be to gather the items in a box and drop it at the middle of the road in front of her house.

After you leave, she will exit and get the package.

This is to avoid any direct contact with the family.

For security purposes, we have not included the address of the patient or their family.

This is an appeal to those familiar with the patient and his family.
