Belize confirms 1 new case of COVID-19

By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health confirmed 1 new case of COVID-19.

A further set of samples were conducted today including the samples from contact tracing done in Blue Creek, all of them returned negative.

The new positive case is a person that came in through the repatriation process.

She is an elderly female with underlying heart conditions who is home quarantining due to her condition.

The person is asymptomatic and remains under home quarantine.

All other samples were negative.

According to the Ministry of Health, they also have another recovered case.
