Canadian lifestyle magazine wants travelers dreaming about Belize

Posted: Friday, July 17, 2020. 1:33 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: Holr Magazine, a fashion and lifestyle publication based in Canada, is keeping the name Belize in the mind of every hopeful traveler with its latest travel writing piece titled “DREAMY DESTINATIONS: BELIZE.”

The article put the best of Belize on display, emphasizing unique cultural experience and heavy emphasis on eco-friendly practices that adds to the allure of the sights and flavors travelers get to experience during their stay.

“Located in Central America, Belize is proudly protected by locals as an ‘eco-first’ country. The unspoiled destination has vast green space and beautifully rich history showcased in the carefully preserved archeological sites,” Holr wrote.

Holr also reminded its readers of the ‘Dear Belize’ campaign launched earlier this year by the Belize Tourism Board, where travelers can win an eight-day/seven-night trip for two, including flights, hotel and ground transportation by submitting a virtual postcard of 60 seconds or less explaining why they love Belize.

While the United States represents the bulk of visitors coming to Belize, the BTB and its partners have been working over recent years to expand the country’s marketing presence in Canada. That work will prove all the more crucial in the coming months as the country reopens the Philip Goldson International Airport. As COVID-19 cases continue to soar, now reaching over 3.7 million, putting the country at greater potential risk from tourists, Canada has just over 109,000 infections and offers direct flights to Belize.
