Contact tracing continues for Santa Elena COVID-19 patient; samples from Northern villages return negative

By BBN Staff: The Office of the Director of Health Services informed today that 106 samples were processed and with this batch, officials have cleared all the samples processed from the contact tracing in both San Felipe and Blue Creek.

The Ministry of Health has also processed the initial samples from the immediate contacts of patient #39 of Santa Elena, Cayo.

The contact tracing for this particular case is ongoing.

The Ministry says that they have been able to establish links to a Mexican community on the Northern border and details of this are evolving but for now they are unable to document any community spread.

All samples processed today are negative.
