Four armed men rush into house, only take a cell phone

By BBN Staff: A 26-year-old woman from the Maya Mopan area of Belmopan managed to survive an aggravated burglary unharmed this weekend.

Reports are that around 9 p.m. on Saturday, four hispanic men two armed with guns and the other two with machetes barged into the woman’s home. There were also several others waiting outside.

The men reportedly asked for “the truck driver” and demanded to know where “the money” was. One of the men then searched her home and when they didn’t find anything left taking a cell phone valued at $138.

Police are investigating.
