By BBN Staff: CK sports bar and restaurant in San Ignacio issued a statement today saying that the incident which led to this weekend’s double murder didn’t begin inside of the bar.
The restaurant extended condolences to the Trapp and Hill family.
The restaurant also expressed recovery wishes for Marques Robateau, Telesha McKay and Daniel Jimenez.
“We also take this time to reach out to the general public and clarify the misinformation being thrown out by the media. These young people were in a car parked across the street infront of the Macal River park,” the establishment said.
The establishment claims to be a law-abiding business with private security and police at functions.
“We have been abiding by the social distancing law which led us to not allowing anybody else inside the restaurant and bar when we are already at a our limit, the individuals involved in this tragedy were abiding by the rules of the crowd limit and went to their vehicle. This incident had absolutely nothing to do with the establishment and neither did it start inside CK Bar,” the statement added.
The bar reminded patrons that the establishment is safe to have a good time.
