Belize registers 2 new cases of COVID-19

By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health has confirmed 2 new cases of COVID-19.

The Ministry processed a further 66 samples on Monday.

Most of the samples are from the flight that arrived on Friday, July 17.

One of the patients came in through the Western Border from Guatemala and has been quarantined since he arrived in the country.

The second patient is from the returning flight on Friday.

Both cases are asymptomatic and remain under quarantine.

Officials are currently monitoring 18 active cases, the majority in Orange Walk but all cases are under quarantine.

The country has registered 42 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
