By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Finance announced a short while ago that effective Wednesday, July 22, 2020, the pump price of diesel will increase by 60 cents from $7.61 to $8.21 per gallon.
However, the prices for premium gasoline, regular gasoline and kerosene will remain unchanged at $9.21, $8.71 and $5.43 per gallon, respectively.
According to The Ministry of Finance, the price change reflects current demand and supply conditions of crude oil in the international petroleum market and fluctuations in the acquisition price of refined fuel products in the countries from which Belize obtains its supplies.
The Ministry says that the Government of Belize is monitoring the price movements and supply conditions closely and will work with the fuel industry to safeguard the pump prices paid by Belizean consumers.
