By BBN Staff: A tropical depression has formed over the Central Tropic Atlantic.
According to the National Hurricane Center (NHC), Tropical Depression Seven is moving west-northwest at 8 miles per hour (mph) and is packing 35 mph winds.
The NHC says that the tropical depression is about 1,185 miles west-southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands and about 1,420 miles east of the Southern Wind wards Islands.
It is expected that the tropical depression will make a westward turn sometime tonight, and tomorrow it should continue moving that way through Friday.
Tropical seven could strengthen into a tropical storm either tonight or tomorrow, the NHC advises.
