Toddler Drowns in Well in Bella Vista, Toledo

By BBN Staff: Acting upon information received of a drowning incident in Bella Vista Village in the Toledo District, police visited the Bella Vista Poly Clinic where they observed the lifeless body of a baby boy.

Initial investigation revealed that yesterday around 4:30 pm while the baby’s mom was outside her house, her four kids were playing in the yard when the mother suddenly noticed that her one year old son was missing.

She quickly became concerned and began searching for him and upon checking at an adjoining lot next to her yard, she found her one year old son motionless  inside an abandoned well approximately 2 feet wide in circumference and 2 feet deep.

She immediately took her son to the Bella Vista Poly Clinic for medical attention but was pronounced dead on arrival at 4:46 pm by Doctor Gino Orellano.

The baby’s body was transported to the Southern Regional Hospital morgue where it awaits a post mortem examination.
