By BBN Staff:  Christian Workers Union President Evan Mose Hyde says that law enforcement has decided to treat its members who are just standing up for their rights like criminals.

Hyde said that they were having a peaceful demonstration when the Gang Suppression Unit (GSU) of the Belize Police Department began using force against his members.

“No plane with drugs no land da PBL fi mek unu di go on soh,” Hyde said.

The GSU has forcefully.removed one member of the CWU and fired tear gas at several others as the saga which began early this morning with a blockade in front of the Port continues.
