P.M. Barrow: “How did we get here?”

By Aaron Humes: Three senior officials of the Police Department are expected to be suspended and will face the Security Services Commission for their role in Wednesday’s mayhem at the Port, Prime Minister Dean Barrow said this afternoon.

And the Government, he swore, would pursue all avenues including legal ones to get the workers reinstated.

But he reminded that we got here because the then Government sold off the Port to an associate who ran into financial difficulties.

And so any thought of buying back the Port at this time is remote at best, he concluded.
