Summer auto show underway in Belmopan

By BBN Staff: Round two of the summer auto show hosted by the Belize New Car Dealer Association (BNCDA), is underway in Belmopan.

The event gathers the major players in the auto sales industry at the parking lot across from the Shell gas station on Bliss Parade, to offer hefty discounts on 2020 and 2021 models and unveil new vehicles being out on the market.

Greg Mossure, Manager of Caribbean Motors, is on site ready to put drivers behind the wheel of a new Wingle, and is also proudly displaying the first fully electric cars in Belize.

“We’ve got all the dealers out here and we just want to do the best for Belize by giving the people options,” Mossure said.

William Dueck representing Foton Belize from Universal Hardware brought vehicle types from pickuptrucks and mini vans to delivery trucks, including the crown jewel of the company’s vehicle fleet, the Toano.

“It’s a black Toano, it’s the only one in the country. It’s very classy, very stylish so if you have high profile guests, it’s an excellent choice,” Dueck said.

Marlon Romero from King Motors said that the company has only been in Belize for two years but has managed to establish a presence in the industry. King Motors is out showcasing the two brands that they exclusively distribute Jac and Hino. Foŕ the Jac brands King Motors carries pickups, cargo and delivery trucks ranging from 1.5 ton to 6 ton capacity.

“For the Hino brand they start from 2.5 ton all the way up to tow head. You can put a dry cargo box or a flat bed, any application you would like we can definitely do that for you,” Romero said.

David Vasquez, Sales Manager from Belize Estate Company said that BEC brought out the best of its Ford, Kia, and Renault vehicles, including the Ford 150, Renault Duster Oroc, and the Kia Sorento.

Vasquez said that shoppers can also buy with the ease of mind that their purchases are backed by BEC’s trusted maintenance team.

“Our dealership is one if the oldest in Belize if not the oldest. We have an established shop where we do maintenance for Kia, Renault all our brands and any other vehicle on the market,” Vasquez said.
