Posted: Tuesday, July 28, 2020. 1:39 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health issued a breakdown of the origin of patients with COVID-19 cases in Belize.

The Ministry says that this is the origin of the last 30 cases (after the initial 18):

– 19 from Mexico

– 7 from the USA

– 2 from Honduras

– 2 from Guatemala

Twenty-seven of the patients are Belizeans and only 13 of the total 30 are from the repatriation process.

The remaining 17 patients are tied to illegal crossings.

The public is advised to report any illegal border crossings to the authorities.
