Man stabbed dead near Pound Yard Bridge in Belize City

BBN has received reports that a man was stabbed dead near the Pound Yard Bridge in Belize City this evening.

The victim’s identity has been confirmed as William Emanuel Rubio. Videos from the scene, however, show the victim laying motionless on the street in a pool of blood surrounded by witnesses.

The victim was reportedly rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police are investigating.
