By BBN Staff: The Port of Belize informed today that in a letter sent to the Labour Commissioner and President of the Christian Workers Union, the port has withdrawn its request for the stevedores to resume work while they negotiate the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
The statement from Port says that they have requested a meeting with the labour department and the union to address the following:

Stevedore work hour draft proposal
Stevedore grievance and disciplinary procedure
The Port says it sought a neutral location and has reserved a meeting room at the Biltmore while they await a notification from both parties for a healthy negotiations.
