Pound Yard stabbing victim dies

By BBN Staff: William Rubio, 41, died last night around 6:55 while undergoing medical treatment at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital after being stabbed earlier in the evening near the Pound Yard Bridge in Belize City.

According to police, Rubio was involved in an altercation with another man at the corner of Cemetery Road and West Collet Canal. The man pulled out a knife and stabbed Rubio to the left side of his neck.

Rubio died of his injuries and police have since taken the suspect of the murder into custody pending charges.
