By Aaron Humes: Citing a recent article concerning the “black swan event” of the COVID-19 pandemic, Prime Minister Dean Barrow praised the leadership team behind today’s Economic Recovery Strategy.
The subset of the National Task Force and Oversight Committee, he said, answered his call for help and were tireless in their work to produce its contents.
He emphasized that it was not a political document and as such should be followed not only by the current administration but the one to follow after General Elections. And he apologized for the “mix-up” that limited the participation of the National Trade Union Congress of Belize’s representative.
Nonetheless he concluded that Belize is well-served by the assembly of the Government and social partners and others.
