Belize monitors 16 active cases of COVID-19

By BBN Staff: Health authorities are monitoring 16 active cases of COVID-19.

On Friday, a further 66 samples were processed and returned negative.

There are 3 recovered patients from the Orange Walk district.

The country has registered 48 cases of COVID-19.

“We continue to remain vigilant for all suspect cases and our enhances surveillance will continue to test all suspect cases,” the office of the Director of Health Services said.

The public is urged to engage with the prevention measures as we all move along together.

– Practice physical distancing, especially in public settings.

– Avoid large crowds/groups as much as you can

– Wear your mask properly, especially in large groups or settings

– Wash your hands regularly

– Avoid touching your face
