Warm but unstable weather conditions ahead

The National Meteorological Service of Belize’s latest weather report says that warm and relatively unstable conditions will dominate the weather today.

The 24-hour forecast calls for sunny skies with some cloudy spells today and partly cloudy skies tonight. A few showers and isolated thunderstorms will occur mostly over northern and central areas today, becoming generally isolated tonight.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 90 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 97 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 82 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 72 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 68 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Residents, especially those inland, are advised to stay hydrated and avoid direct sunlight or outdoor activities as much as possible.

Winds will be light and variable and the sea state will be slight.

High tide will come in at 8:42 a.m. and low tide will occur at 4:06 p.m.

The sun will set at 6:25 p.m. and the moon will rise at 5:59 p.m.
