Body of elderly man found floating in the sea near Punta Gorda

By BBN Staff: The body of an elderly man was found floating near the seashore in Punta Gorda this morning. The body was retrieved by Police and was identified as 85 year old Hugh Donald Cleofus Ordonez, a resident of Punta Gorda town.

Investigations reveal that about 8:30 this morning, Ordonez want for a swim which was a usual morning ritual for him. Around 9:00 a.m., a neighbour saw the body of the elderly man floating in the sea and alerted the police.

After the Ordonez’s body was retrieved, it was taken to the Punta Gorda hospital where he was pronounced dead. Ordonez’s medical history indicate that he was suffering from Parkinson disease.

As no signs of physical injury was found on the body, police do not suspect foul play.
