By BBN Staff: Minister of Education Patrick Faber announced today that the August 10 reopening of schools has been delayed due to the increased number of COVID-19 cases in Belize.
Faber explained that schools in border communities, where illegal crossings are frequent, may be delayed even longer.
Teachers and school administrators are still to report to schools and working on preparations, but schools will remain closed pending advice from health authorities.
